I'd like to know if there's any way to balance the load other than using status.xeovo.com and connecting based on the load on that page. The problem is that the CaringX client can autoconnect, but sometimes it connects to an overloaded server. I'd like to know how to fix this.
Is there some form of automatic load balancing on the client and server sides?

No and there is no workaround. You have to check load on status page before connecting to the location.
Once we make our own clients you will most likely have this information inside the client, so you won't need to open status page separately.
