Hysteria2 drops connection immediatelly on Android when screen locks - Android 16

First off, the Hysteria2 protocol is amazing speed wise. There is one niggling issue that drives me a bit crazy.
Every time the screen locks either due to time out or me pressing the power button, the connection drops. And you can't simply reconnect when you open the phone as you get an error: io error
I need to close V2RayNG - yes it has been updated to the latest version as are is the subscription - and start again.
Only than does it properly reconnect.
This issue happens every single time the screen locks and only on Hysteria2 servers. If I use any other protocol, the connection remains active.

Hmm, I don't have this problem, but I have another one, also related to v2rayng. When I minimize Brave Browser to listen to YouTube in the background, after exactly 12 minutes the connection to any proxy drops and the video pauses. Then I have to restart the proxy, and then the problem goes away. After that, the connection is stable and I can listen to the rest of the video. And this happens every time, exactly 12 minutes later—it sounds crazy, but it's true.

@Stumu102 We tried to replicate this multiple times with different servers and results are mixed. Basically we use Firefox as main browser and after locking/unlocking the device it seemed like Firefox refused to load anything. However this only happened couple of times and It felt more like v2rayNG was reconnecting/restoring connection? It the end connection was restored but it took about 20 seconds.

Can you try easiest approach and try using Nekobox instead of v2rayNG and see if the issue persist for you? We tried to replicate the issue in Nekobox and it did not happen. Let us know if it works better in Nekobox or not.

Our test setup:
Android 16 / Google Pixel Pro 10 / GrapheneOS
v2rayNG 1.10.31

No luck with replicating the same results. You might want to try out NewPipe on Android if you want to listen to YouTube videos in background. However sometimes YouTube does not like the fact that you are connected to VPN/Proxies and might block access.
