1420 or less for Wireguard. it will default to a safe value anyway.
Just like @bnch said, the best option is to use default one.
In environments with additional overhead (mobile networks, double tunneling), a lower MTU (≈1380–1400) might be required to avoid fragmentation or PMTUD issues.
