How to install Stealth Proxies on Windows

1. Important notes

The main goal of Stealth Proxies is to bypass DPI. The stability and speeds might not be the same as on our VPN servers. Available locations are not permanent and might be removed or replaced at any time, because our IP ranges get blocked.

We don't recommend using Stealth Proxies if you can use WireGuard, AmneziaWG or OpenVPN. Please be aware that none of the protocols or clients we mention in this guide have undergone security auditing.

Notice that some of the clients might use 3rd party DNS by default or have DNS leaks.

3. Which protocol to use?

It all depends from which country you are connecting. To simplify things you can find availability of each protocol at the bottom of status page.

Installing v2rayN on Windows

1. Open the Stealth Proxy page. Click on Generate the key. You can continue setting up everything, but the connection will only start working once the generation is complete. This usually takes about 15 minutes.

2. v2rayN is the recommended client for Windows. It is already selected in the generator, so simply click the Download icon.

3. You will be redirected to GitHub. Click on v2rayN-windows-64-desktop.zip to start the download.

4. Once the download is complete, right click on the archive v2rayN-windows-64-desktop.zip, select Extract All, open the extracted folder and run v2rayN as administrator.

5. You most likely will get "Windows protected your PC" window. Click on More info and after that click Run anyway button. This happens because the developer didn’t buy a code-signing certificate, not because the software is unsafe.

6. Go back to the Stealth Proxy page and click the URL ( ) icon to copy your subscription URL. You need to add this URL to v2rayN.

7. In v2rayN, go to the top menu and click Subscription group, then Subscription group settings, and click Add.

8. Enter any name in Remarks and paste the copied subscription URL into the URL (Optional) field.

9. Set Automatic update interval to 1440 minutes (this will update the subscription every 24 hours to get new servers or remove inactive ones). Click Confirm to save the changes.

10. Now click on Subscription group again and select Update subscription without proxy to fetch all available servers.

11. Choose your preferred location and protocol from the list and press Enter on your keyboard.

12. To establish the connection, toggle Enable Tun on. If Tun mode does not work try first disabling Tun mode and after that selecting System proxy from the dropdown menu instead.

13. Verify your connection via DoesMyVPN.work.

Alternative clients

If you prefer to use a different client, you can view all available options on the Stealth Proxy generator page in the drop-down menu. When you select another client, the subscription URL and download link will automatically update to match the chosen client type. All clients listed in the drop-down menu have been officially tested.
