- VPN servers in Germany

Answer Hey there,
Google determines your location not just by your IP address but also by historical data tied to that IP. If a lot of people from another country have used the same VPN server’s IP, Google might assume it belongs to that country instead.
Unfortunately, there’s no way for us to fix this since it depends on how Google determines IP locations through their algorithms. However, we have some workarounds:
- Try connecting to another location
- Modify your region and language in search settings
- Set search results to global search by using https://www.google.com/ncr
- Report the issue directly to Google through this form. This is a temporary fix.
- Stop using Google and try alternative options that we mention here.
Remember that by choosing option #4, you’re helping all users 💪

- 5 device limit
Answer Hey 👋
Our service doesn't limit the number of devices you can use but limits active connections. If you exceed 5 simultaneous connections, one of them may disconnect randomly. We don't plan to remove this limitation, otherwise our service will be abused.
Connection speed depends on your router model and the protocol you choose. Many routers use low-end CPUs, which is the main reason why you get slow speeds.

Jan 15, 2025 Thank you. But it didn't help. I tried few times with different numbers. I edited numbers inside AmneziaWG on iphone.Sad to hear that. In that case the only solution is to switch to Stealth Proxies on mobile.

Hi,
This is most likely due the fact that S1 and S2 parameters in .conf file are zero. We are planning to update the generator and change variables. However we are still testing and collecting feedback regarding this change.
Right now if you want to speed up the update try modifying S1 and S2. It can be any number from 2 to 10 for both parameters. Let us know which one you used and if it worked or not.
Simply download AmneziaWG .conf via generator and edit .conf file with any text editor or inside AmneziaWG client. Down below is a example.

- Ad blocking DNS
In reply to brigadierbrigadierJan 12, 2025 Thank you, it'll be interesting to see it in action. I didn't hear or think about possibility to block ads and trackers via DNS before. Is it completely new idea or am I just out-of-date?Not a new thing :)

- Ad blocking DNS
In reply to KKJan 10, 2025 @0xVirtualCake Just curious, will there be DoH/DoT support for custom DNS? Or only ipv4/v6 options?Hey,
On release there will be only support for IPv4/IPv6 for custom DNS.

Jan 7, 2025 In reply to FX9z2c0UUFX9z2c0UUJan 6, 2025 I tried using your option, but I found it less convenient than this app. What I didn't like about Amnezia is that there are constant interface bugs. For example, it shows that the VPN is off, althoug...But does it support AmneziaWG? From the quick look it seems to support only WireGuard.

- Add servers in Russia
Answer 0xVirtualCake Team
Jan 5, 2025 Rejected.
We are not planning to add any VPN or Stealth Proxy servers in Russia. There is many reasons for this, but we will outline the most important ones:
- We are fighting censorship in Russia, and hosting servers there would conflict with our principles. Hosting providers based in Russia are required by law to block access to domains or IPs that are blacklisted by the government.
- We refuse to fund a sanctioned country’s economy, especially one that started a war.
- The legal system in Russia is broken beyond repair.
- Reputable VPN providers don't have servers in Russia.
- And countless other reasons why deploying infrastructure there is out of the question.

Jan 2, 2025 Hey,
Important note first. All VPN providers have the same issue. Unfortunately there is no silver bullet to fix it. The two mains causes for this are:
Once you are connected to any VPN server you get a shared IP address, which is being used by many other users. When websites detect a high number of requests coming from a single IP, they flag it as suspicious behavior, prompting captchas. For the website it might look like botnet or DDoS attack.
We are using IP addresses that belong to data centers. It's easy to find databases with such information. This gets more attention, because visits are not happening from residential IP's (home ISP/mobile operator). Websites might block connection from non-residential IP addresses all together.
However there is workarounds that might help you.
- Try switching to a less populated server. You can find this on our status page. This is not guaranteed to help, but you can try it.
- Clear cookies and cache in your browser.
- Ask website owner to switch to more privacy friendly solutions. For example FriendlyCaptcha or hCaptcha.
Alternative services
Let's say you are having issues only with Google Search. Preferably it would be good to get rid of Google entirely, but instead you can use alternative options that will almost match the same search results:
- StartPage. Uses Google and Bing as search index, almost identical results. Company is based in Netherlands.
- Whoogle is simple open source option that will show Google index results and remove ads/trackers.
- 4get.ca is another open-source option with many indexes available.
- SearX open source metasearch engine.
- DuckDuckGo is another option, but uses only Bing as search index. The company is based in USA.
We will test and add more alternative services in the future in this post.

Answer Hi,
This is already possible. You can use AmneziaVPN (it supports Split Tunneling) client instead of AmneziaWG. You can now import our configuration files one-by-one. We will make announcement slightly later after the testing is fully done.
See my screenshot down below. Simply download AmneziaWG configuration file via WireGuard generator for specific country and import it to the client.

Answer By default Stealth Proxy generator shows random server from the pool. There is three options to get it:
Select in drop down menu "All Region (for subscriptions)" press OK. After that select in second drop down menu "URL List / All Protocols" and press OK again. Open subscription URL. This will start automatic download of .txt file including all the servers and protocols. Search manually for "nl-global0" in .txt file to find correct configuration information.
Do the same, but import configuration file to any Stealth Proxy client such as v2rayNG or Nekoray. That way you can quickly find the needed protocol/country and configuration.
You can cycle thought servers in generator. Select the same way location like in the screenshot you provided and only change "Switch protocol" drop down menu (swap protocol) and press OK. Eventually you will get fixed server there, which will be named "nl-global0".

Answer Hey,
Good question! Currently the only way to check is to open any generator (WireGuard/OpenVPN/Stealth Proxies) and open drop down menu with locations. Red icon near location means that P2P/BitTorrent is blocked.
We plan to move this information to our status page in the future. That will be much better.

Thanks! This category is more about sharing ideas, but positive feedback is always welcome.
Hi there,
Good catch! We do indeed have Germany servers for Stealth Proxies, but not for VPN (yet). We use a different approach for Stealth Proxies and the locations are not permanent. You can read more about it here.
We will start looking for an optimal provider for VPN servers in Germany this year. There is one we wanted to test out, but they are currently out of stock.
